In the past several years, Green has become the buzz word in nearly every industry. Laws and ordinances are drafted to ensure we follow the Green way of life. But what is Green anyway? What is all the hype about?

Green services utilize a common sense approach to pest control & landscape management. The focus is on protecting our environment through actions such as:
  • Custom-applications that aim to prevent or target specific pests from entering your home or damage your lawn or landscape.
  • Florida-Friendly fertilization practices by using slow-release, lake-friendly granular fertilizers. Phosphorus is not applied to lawns unless its need is documented through a soil analysis.
  • Using products designed to mitigate damaging pests while sparing beneficial insects.
  • Promoting the health of lawns and landscapes through proper plant-selection and sound horticultural practices.
  • Whenever possible, balancing your pest management and fertilization program with effective pest exclusion, proper mowing, watering, and plant selection. Pest control is essential for our way of life. We don't accept the spread of disease or property damage that may result from pest infestations. With that in mind, we also care very much about protecting and preserving our environment. In fact it's part of our name.  Grass, trees and shrubs clean and filter storm water, and prevent soil erosion. Plants cool our landscapes and homes, while capturing dust and reducing noise and glare. And, they do all of this while producing oxygen and consuming carbon dioxide. What could be better for the environment than that? They also make our world more beautiful to look at, and just plain more livable. Treatments for plant health care are important for our well being.
 Green industries
The way we perform our services is important both to you and the environment. Some of our practices include the following:

  • All technicians are trained and certified by the University of Florida, Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices.
  • No indiscriminate spraying. We inspect to determine the need before treating. It takes more time and effort to monitor the property for pests and deficiencies, but it's the right thing to do.
  • We use the least toxic products to accomplish our goals. The use of low-dose and low-impact products is standard. Preserving beneficial organisms is in our best interest.
  • We don't perform treatments just to generate income. All of our treatments are proven to be beneficial for all concerned. Our standard of ethics won't allow us to sell services that offer little benefit for the money.
  • We can't speak for everyone in our industry. This is how we do it, and have been doing it for over 25 years. We haven't made a big deal of it, either. It is common sense. And it is ethical.
